Side dishes never get any of the glory, but we think this Spanish Rice deserves some love. The best addition to a big plate of tacos, our quick and easy Restaurant-Style Spanish Rice is packed with flavor and easy to customize with whatever you've got on hand, plus it comes together in less than 30 minutes. Add a big dollop of hot sauce if you want a little extra kick!

Ingredients:
1 cup long-grain white rice
2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 medium white onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. turmeric powder (or saffron if you’re fancy and have cash to blow)
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1 sprig fresh cilantro, chopped
Directions:
Add rice and broth to a small saucepan and bring to boil. Once the rice is boiling turn it down to a simmer.
Add salt, turmeric, and oregano.
Stir in garlic, onion, and tomatoes and cook until the rice has absorbed all the liquid, about 10-15 minutes.
Sprinkle in cilantro and serve alongside black beans and tacos.
